- Puli Kali dance is the traditional dance of Kerala. As per dance rules, only males should perform that dance. In order to display women’s rights, Rahna participated in that traditional dance by breaking that rule. She became the first woman who participated in Puli Kali.
- Sabarimala Issue: As per Sabarimala Iyappan temple’s traditional rule, women between the age of 9 to 60 should not enter that temple. Some women activists felt that the rule is against women’s rights and filed a petition to the supreme court to grant permission for women to visit. Finally, those activists won the case. In November 2018, this woman took a huge effort to enter into Sabarimala Iyappan temple. Due to the Sabarimala devotee’s protest, Rahna failed in that attempt but she almost reached a few meters near that temple with police support. Finally, she was arrested by the police. Angry devotees attacked Rahna’s house.
