Story Of Chamkila
Chamkila is a biopic of renowned Punjabi Singer Amar Singh Chamkila, who was born in the Sikh Chamar community in the village of Durgi near Ludhiana, Punjab. He was the youngest and wanted to be an electrician. Later he changed his original name to Dhani Ram into Amar Singh Chamkila. He began his musical career. Chamkila and his wife were killed by unknown people on March 8, 1988. Amar Singh died at the age of 27.
