Mani Ratnam’s masterpiece was dropped today, and it became the latest victim of piracy websites. Ponniyin Selvan 2 movie got leaked on TamilBlasters website within a few hours of its release. The sequel of Ponniyin Selvan was also released by popular torrent websites Tamilrockers and Isaimani. The Telugu version of the film was released by iBomma website. When I analyze the leaked versions, most of them are theatre print, and some of them are in HD quality. Moreover, these sites promote downlink links on telegram channels. Theatre management should not allow this activity which is illegal.

Ponniyin Selvan 2 is the continuation of chapter one. This will start where the first part ends. Ponniyin Selvan’s entire story is based on Kalki’s novel. It spins around Arulmozhivarman’s journey from being a young prince to becoming a successful Chozha king. And then, he meets a young and charming Vandiyathevan, who become friends. Along the way, they have to face political plots and conspiracies against the throne. Arulmozhivarman has to maintain peace and order in his dynasty on the go. The film’s female characterizations are well rounded and which uplifts the entire plot.
In the casting part, every single actor fits the role perfectly, and the novel adaption works well among Tamil audiences.
