800 movie is a biopic of legendary cricketer Muthaih Muralitharan. The film was written and directed by MS Sripathy. Madhur Mittal of Slumdog Millionaire fame plays the lead role. Vivek Rangachari produced the project under his home banner Movie Train Motion Pictures. Ghibran composed the songs and soundtracks. The film is set to release in three different languages Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu.
Muttaiah is known for the number of wickets “800” got in his test career. Initially, Vijay Sethupathi intended to play the role of Muthiah Muralidaran, but due to unknown reasons, Madhur Mittal was replaced by VJS. Mahima Nambiar and Akshay Batchu play prominent characters in the film. Sony Music bagged the label rights. Muttiah Muralitharan Biopic “800” is slated to be released on Mid of 2023.
