Gowri is the daughter of south Indian actress Praveena Nair. Gowri Nair was in the news after she filed a complaint against Delhi-based youth who shared her morphed photos on the internet. Her mother, Praveena Nair is also a victim, both lodged a complaint with the cyber police. Praveen is well known for her role as Sivagami Sundaram in Raja Rani 2 serial that airs on Star Vijay TV.
