Ponniyin Selvan 2 is the sequel to the historical epic drama Ponniyin Selvan based on Kalki’s novel. It is helmed by renowned director Mani Ratnam. It comes under the giant production house that includes Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies. The film has an ensemble star cast including Vikaram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Sarathkumar, Parthiban, Sobhita Dhulipala, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Vikaram Prabu, and others. AR Rahman composed all songs and music tracks for the film. Cinematographer Ravi Varman cranks the camera.
Ponniyin Selvan 1 had a stupendous theatrical run in Tamil Nadu and the international circuit.
