Breaking She-Hulk Director Defends Season 1 Plot & Direction After Backlash & Downvotes News And Update

In a recent interview with Total Film magazine, she Hulk Attorney at law director Kat Koyer opens up on all the negative backlash

Specifically related to the plot that she Hulk took and how she feels comfortable with the direction that they went in. It’s safe to say that the direction of she Hulk has been polarizing, right? It has people that really love it ask people that are in the middle on it, and it has people that absolutely hate it. And it seems like that the negative side is always super vocal.

So speaking with Total Film and responding to complaints about the criticism in relation to the plot, the different direction that they took with the series. Breaking the fourth wall and dealing with so many things all over the place in the MCU, the director had the response and she said that she feels like that this show had to convey the sense of reality while also doing the insane superhero stuff. So she says that for her, it was important to get the balance of what it’s like to be a woman in the real world, but also have to tie that in with the plot. That gets a little bit absurd the moment. And think about it.

So you have to get to know the characters, but at the same time you have to have things driving the plot forward, not just for she, Hulk, but also for the entire MCU. And on top of this, you also have to address so many different things that people are going to question, from cameos to shihoko to the bigger Marvel Universe to why exactly you decided to put all of this into a comedy.

And she teases the bigger conflict that’s coming at us going. Forward in terms of the series, but also what exactly happens going forward with she Hulk? And she says that more or less you’re going to have to get a different tone when she Hulk shows up. Much like how every character when they meet up, you have to make slight adjustments. And I think this is correct again, right? You look at this, ever since Marvel started doing team ups with The Avengers, you have to take a character and make them somewhat different. And play with their power levels and how they react to the things around them. Because if they act the same as they do in their individual projects, it doesn’t necessarily work for the best.

Like, you can’t have the same Thor in everything. That’s why his power levels fluctuate. Just like the comics, you know, there’s a situation. So she Hulk, as she’s saying, yeah, season one, the plot is a little bit absurd. Yes, the direction is a little bit different, but again, it’s the nature of the show. And it’s not going to be the same every time she Hulk shows up somewhere because we have to adapt to it.So I think what she’s trying to say is if you don’t like she Hulk here, maybe you’ll like her in some other projects maybe.
