Radha Ravi is an Indian actor, who mostly works in the Tamil film industry. He made his acting debut in the Tamil movie Manmadha Leelai, in the year 1976. He is well known for his role as an antagonist in Tamil films. He did his Television debut with the Tamil serial Thiruvilayadal. He played a prominent role in Ramarajan’s 45th film Saamaniyan.

He made his Kannada film debut with the movie Ragasiya Rathiri which is produced by actor Bharathi’s father. He got a breakthrough with Director Ramanarayanan’s movie Uyirullavarai Usha, along with T. Rajender. In the following years, he molded himself and became the most versatile character artist in the Tamil industry. He has given notable performances in the movies like Vaidegi Kaathirunthal, Uyarntha Ullam, Chinna Thambi, Poo Veli, Uzhaipalli, Guru Sishyan, and many which were praised by the audience. He produced the movies like Thai Maasam Poo Vasam, Idhu Namma Bhoomi, Chinnamuthu, Ilaignar Ani, and Ruthrathandavam.

He was the head of the Lions Club of Chennai and was the former secretary of the South Indian Artistes Association. Radha Ravi served there as a president until 2002, and he was probed for mismanagement and was replaced by Vijayakanth.

  • Radha Ravi faced multiple accusations at the Dubbing Union for falsely claiming Datuskship by the Malacca Government. The Government of Melakan confirmed that they never conferred Datuk title to Radha Ravi.
  • He is the long-time president of the Tamil Nadu Dubbing Association and he was named Dato Radha Ravi Complex.
  • In 2018, as a part of the MeeToo movement in the Tamil film industry, singer Chinmai accused him of Se*ual harassment, Se*ual misconduct, and inappropriate behavior has been made, but the acquisition was never made into an official complaint.
